After the Mini Jam 181: Rabbits we wanted to work more on the game and make a polished version!

Some weeks later, here is the new version :)

We listened to player feedback, changed the map a bit, added new features, many sounds, and more!


Here is a patch note with the main changes, sorted by category

Art changes

  • New landmarks on the map (broken ship, forest, desert, etc.)
  • Many small models (rocks, mushrooms, corals, etc.)
  • Lots of VFX for the player, enemies, and more
  • UI improvements and new UI to show more info about the objective
  • Cool shader work for the map in general
  • New animations and procedural work + physics on the rabbit ears

Gameplay changes

  • New item: "Radar Carrot" that shows the way to the eggs
  • Timer to see your time at the end of the game
  • Gamepad support in menus (works better on Windows)
  • Many small bugs fixed
  • Sound options
  • Colorblind mode

SFX changes

  • Small and large enemies now have sounds for when they agrro the play, hide in the ground and stick to the player
  • Oxygen bubbles now have an SFX playing when hitting the player
  • Radar carrots now have an associated SFX while orbitting around the player, when they lock their target and when they crash into the ground or something else
  • A new SFX plays when the player tries to vacuum but it's already full
  • Introduction of a landing SFX at the start or restart of a game
  • An enemy conversion sound now plays when they are befriended
  • Turret projectiles now have their own firing SFX as well

Music changes

  • Better mastering of all the tracks
  • introduction of a very short "Win" music
  • introduction of a new track named Remorse and Memories, hidden somewhere on the map 
  • Polished the introduction track
